Leslie Palma joins Holland & Knight
Two former associates of Holland & Knight are joining the Mexico City office of Greenberg Traurig. Villanueva, who was the head of Human Resources and Labor Matters at Lottus Education, joins as a partner. The addition of a Labor and Employment group by Greenberg Traurig comes at a time when the Mexican labor market is experiencing significant disruption. Also, recent amendments to federal labor laws have made a significant impact on the country’s labor market.
The firm has also expanded its presence in Mexico, hiring four new partners and a senior counsel. The firm had operated in the country since 1998 through a joint venture with Mexican firm Gallastegui y Lozano SC, which is now defunct. Holland & Knight poached its entire roster of attorneys and four associates from the firm. Several of the partners have also been promoted to senior counsel.

Previously, she was the head of human resources for Lottus Education.

Albert Zuleta joins Hklaw’s Colombian office
Hklaw’s Colombian office has expanded with the addition of Albert Zuleta. Zuleta has extensive experience handling dispute resolution matters at all levels of Colombian courts. His extensive background also includes handling arbitration proceedings at the domestic and international levels, including those involving international companies. He has been listed in the panel of arbitrators of SIAC and EAL. His diverse legal experience includes arbitration, domestic and cross-border, in all areas of business and commerce.
Albert Zuleta will join the firm’s Bogota office, which has rapidly grown in both transaction volume and prominence. He has extensive knowledge of international taxation, with a focus on transfer pricing and complex projects. He also has extensive experience working with the tax authorities and advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financing transactions. Alberto Zuleta will be working in the Bogota office with Cuatrecasas to help the firm expand its practice in Colombia.
